Audience

This course addresses pairing rule and report administrators with a deep understanding of RAVE and APC.

The course gives you a deep understanding of the RAVE-APC interaction, specific for the pairing column generator. After completing the course you will be able to:

  • Fully understand the rule-modelling capabilities of the column generator

Prerequisites

A deep understanding of the Carmen Crew Pairing system, as acquired by attending the courses Advanced RAVE and Advanced APC for Pairing. Experience from implementing/ maintaining a pairing rule set is an advantage.


Course topics

The following is already covered to some extent, in previous courses. Here we completely focus on the column generator interaction, and all performance aspects are pointed out in more detail.

Course Material

Copies of overhead slides, exercises with solution suggestions, and relevant manuals will be handed out at the course.

All exercises are done using a generic flight data and rule set ("Carmen Airlines").
