Advanced Reports

Audience

This course addresses report administrators with a basic knowledge of the Carmen Report Generator module, CRG, who wants to create advanced reports.

The course teaches you the advanced features of the report module and exposes you to a number of exercises with complex reports for thorough understanding. After completing the course you will be able to:
  • Fully exploit advanced features such as transforms, contexts, indicies etc.
  • Write multi-sub-plan reports
  • Write dynamic reports
  • Create diagram reports using GNU-plot

Prerequisites

You should have a basic understanding of the report module, as acquired in the course Basic Reports. A deep knowledge of the RAVE language, as acquired in either Advanced RAVE is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Course Material

Copies of overhead slides, exercises with solution suggestions, and relevant manuals will be handed out at the course.

All exercises are done using a generic flight data and rule set ("Carmen Airlines").
