Six Sigma Black Belts

We are looking for experienced software team leaders and software developers that have become tired of fire fighting and are now ready to accomplish sustainable improvements. You will, as a Six Sigma Black Belt, define problems, estimate improvement potential, define the scope of project, lead the improvement team and ensure that the changes last.

Carmen gives Six Sigma Black Belt candidates intense problem-solving training, and then assigns them full time to lead teams to improve our most important processes (ranging from sales process to software development process). Becoming a successful Black Belt requires not only leadership, intellectual ability, excellent communication skills and drive, but the desire and tenacity to rethink, and relearn the business.

If you fit this profile and enjoy a challenge send your application to Carmen Systems (Odinsg. 9, 411 03 Göteborg). For further information contact Jörgen Christmansson on +46 31 720 81 00.

Description

Description

Six Sigma is a quality improvement and business strategy that began in the 1980's at Motorola. Why "Sigma"? The word is a statistical term that measures how far a given process deviates from perfection. The central idea behind Six Sigma is that if you can measure how many "defects" you have in a process, you can systematically figure out how to eliminate them and get as close to "zero defects" as possible.

The Black Belt is a full-time corporate resource who is the project team leader and is accountable to the key stakeholders for the team results. As Project Team leader, you'll mobilize your team to accomplish set goals, influence others to overcome barriers, and coach/train members in new methodologies.

Responsibilities
Coordinating all team activities and managing progress toward the goal; Representing the team to the organization; Assuming accountability to the key stakeholders for team results; Serve as a change agent in all activities. This may include presentations beyond the project to educate the organization about Six Sigma; and educating all levels of the organization on the use of Six Sigma tools and their application to daily business activities.
