June 2001: The Official Grand Opening in Montreal
On
Wednesday June 6th Carmen Systems inaugurated its office in Montreal.
With more than 40 guests attending. We were honored to have amongst our
distinguished guests Mr. Pierre Bourque, Mayor of Montreal, and Mr. Francis
Fox, Chairman of Montreal International: a support organization for the
development of business on the Island of Montreal.
Our
guests noted the highly ergonimical scandinavian furniture and ambiance
that was created to remind Carmen Systems Ltd of its roots. Per Norén,
Carmen's President and CEO, in his welcoming address, pointed out Montreal's
special cultural characteristics, which play a major role in bridging
the gap between Europe and The Americas.
The
Americas team currently consists of seven people, five located in Montreal
and two at Carmen's headquarters in Göteborg. The team members complement
each other with their knowledge and skills, and bring together Carmen's
sales, management, airline expertise both in crew and aircraft planning,
hardware & software engineering, and optimization.
