  5 September 2005:
Carmen 12 packs a punch

The best just got better. On 1 September, Carmen officially released the latest version of its software application suite packed with an impressive range of new features and tools.

According to Christina von Dorrien, Senior Vice President, R&D, “Optimization continues to be at the forefront of development and optimizer performance has been improved across the board. Large, complex problems can now be solved faster and better than ever before.”

Modelling these problems accurately and easily is also essential and this new release includes significant enhancements to Carmen’s modelling language, Rave. For example, it is now even easier to model constraints that apply to multiple crew members.

Other developments include the option to add database features via Carmen’s data manager, Dave. Designed as a single central repository for managing large quantities of data, Dave forms a core component of Carmen’s complete crew management system.

Carmen12 also includes new features to dramatically improve workflow efficiency such as a macro recorder and the ability to create interactive reports.
